Silent Narrative
$6000.00
Silent Narrative is a compelling documentary study of urban Lagos street enterprise. In the foreground, a vendor in a patterned shirt bends deeply to organize bundles of packaged plantain chips and snacks arranged on a low board beside a utility bucket. Beyond, pedestrians navigate the busy roadside, including a young man in shorts looking directly at the viewer as he checks his phone, while a yellow danfo commercial bus provides a single burst of vivid warm color. Muted almost entirely in cool slate greys and whites, the composition highlights the physical labor, focus, and quiet resilience that power the informal economy across the city's transit arteries.
