Food for thought: Why is it that we want to say how grown our hair is, we pull it down straight instead of demonstrating how full its circumference is?

This is a gentle reminder that even though colonialism supposedly ended years ago, it takes lifetimes to undo patterns/behaviours that stemmed from the same idea that perpetuated it: that we are less than because we are different.
