Every mother who sits to plait the hair of her child knows it that there is a bond. In this case, as she plaits the hair, many thoughts, wishes, desires and hopes floods her mind. She decided to keep this child even when she could have aborted. For it isn’t easy to be a single mother. Th me weight of the society can be seen on her skin but she loves her child irrespective.

Beneath her hands, the daughter leans back in complete surrender, her small frame cradled between her mother’s knees. She is dressed in a magnificent red garment ablaze with intricate gold embroidery and delicate white floral motifs .Her expression is one of pure, wide-eyed trust, gaze lifted toward the viewer as though she is suspended in a moment that will live in her forever.
