Artist Statement
the word pyrography means writing with fire. many people refer to pyrography as wood burning. I have practically created my style to approach pyrography technique whereby I use fire with blade to form art on wood and chipboard heavy. I want my art to awake old memories to tell stories to educate motivate elevate inculcate into the human mind for productivity and positivity. I want my art to tell the sentiment of people who lack the power to speak in public domain about sensitive issue to the born and unborn. I mostly adopt the past present and future contemporary African sense and feelings in my art because I feel and know that there is more to tell to generation and to continue to generation . working with fire to draw on woods and heavy chipboard helps me to interact with my people and their feeling as I connect them to nature beyond imagination.
