If you've existed for longer than a day, you've probably heard the saying: when one door closes, another opens. It's often used to encourage us after a rejection or a disappointment. However, because of where I am in life right now, the phrase speaks less to me about perseverance and more about phases of life.
I like to imagine this internship as a door leading into yet another experience in the long series of experiences that makes up a life. Eight weeks later, I have walked out carrying far more than I walked in with, and now, I have so many people to thank.
Thank you to our CEO, Mr Lortir Pierre-Louis, for being a huge inspiration. Thank you to my wonderful supervisor, Mr Ribetan Nanjwan, as well as to Mr David Moses, for your leadership in the IT team, as well as to Mr Jacob, for your guidance in the Media Department. Thank you to Mrs Christie Udoeyoh for holding our hands through it all, as well as to every other person who worked to make this internship a success for us.
And, of course, to my fellow interns: thank you for going on this journey with me. The experience would not have been the same without you.
